I discovered masturbation at a very late age. I was raised extremely conservative Christian. My parents never had "the talk" with me, so I learned only bits and pieces of information. By the time I was 14 (1996), I had read the entire 1964 World Book section on reproduction and sex. The whole reason I ever even tried masturbation was because guys at school would refer to it as if those who did it were weird or wrong. Guys always made fun of it, and I wondered what it was supposed to be exactly.

Masturbation has been a part of my life since I was pretty young. I haven't always referred to it as masturbating, but I've been doing it since I was in second grade. I remember my mother buying me a book on how babies were made when I was about 8. She bought it for me because I saw a naked girl on TV and was very curious and excited. It was the first time I remember becoming erect. I didn't realize sex, or my penis for that matter, had anything to do with this naked girl, but I guess my mother wanted to give me all the facts straight out.

I started masturbating when I was 14 years old. At first, I would lie down on my bed and stroke while thinking about the girl I had a crush on, and I would have an orgasm but wouldn't ejaculate. At that time, all of my friends had discussed masturbation with me, and they described it as being heavenly with a feeling of ecstasy. In biology class, I was learning about the reproductive system and about semen and sperm. I wished I could ejaculate some semen of my own.

I was very shy and backwards as a kid, and not at all wise about sexual matters. My parents didn't really talk about sex, and I was too embarrassed to ask. I picked up some things from talking to kids at school, but most of it was over my head and abstract. I had heard of "jacking off" and "masturbation," but I didn't even know they were the same thing, or what they really meant.

I'm a 25-year-old average guy. I have been masturbating for more than half my life (can it be that long?). I'm still a virgin, believe it or not, and plan on staying that way until I'm married. I would say I'm mostly straight, although I enjoy looking at other men. I'm fascinated by the human body — male and female — and can spend hours looking at it. I enjoy spending time naked, especially in the presence of someone else if they don't mind. I love skinny-dipping and tanning in the nude.

Masturbation first entered my world when I was 11. Before this, I had never really experienced anything of this sort. When I was little, I had a few touchy-touch experiences with friends here and there, but that was pretty much it. As I got older I heard about masturbation from some friends who were in the 8th grade. They would talk about it when I was around, but I never really understood what they truly meant. But as time went by and I got older, I eventually discovered what my friends were talking about this whole time.

Well, as most people, I discovered masturbation when I was 10 or 11. However, I guess I discovered the actual process of masturbation in a slightly different fashion than those I've read about previously here.

When did I start masturbating? The first time I ever tried it was when I was 15. Several weeks before I had my first session, I was about to take a shower, when I found some magazines in with all the towels. I at first thought they were my mother's women's magazines; I had often seen her put them there. How wrong I was! I took one out and opened it. I was presented with one of the top-shelf magazines for sale here in the U.K. Naturally, I had a good look through and noticed my penis to be erect (which wasn't unusual, because I'd been having lots of "wet dreams" at that age).

I am now 59 years old, so I have a few miles, so to speak, on some of the other members. I have always found masturbation to be more intensely pleasurable and physically satisfying than sex with another person. I have been married for 24 years, and sex with my wife is socially and personally satisfying, but it does not compare to masturbation in terms of shear physical pleasure. We have talked honestly about this so that she does not feel rejected when I masturbate.

I was about 12 years old when a school friend introduced me to masturbation. When I was at his house for a visit, he showed me his penis, and he had an erection. I had never seen an erect penis before, but suddenly also my penis became erect. I don't remember that I ever had an erection at all before then. He showed me what you can do with your penis, and he told me that when I stroke my penis a white liquid will come out, which would be that stuff children are made with, and it will feel great.
