I've masturbated for as long as I can remember. For all I know, I may have been busy masturbating when I was born. Of course, my technique when I was young wasn't very sophisticated. I'd lie on my front, I'd use my right hand to clamp my flaccid penis against my right leg, and I'd cup my left hand over my scrotum, which I held to my left. Then, I'd wiggle my groin. I masturbated like this at least once a day, and I think my penis may have been my favorite plaything. It certainly is the only plaything I still play with 30 some years later!

Broken leg
I started noticing differences between boys and girls' bodies in nursery school. The boys and girls didn't have separate restrooms; I thought that girls had to urinate sitting down because their penises weren't fully developed like boys (of course we urinated standing).
Piqued curiosity
I was never very conscious of erections, and at first, they were a pain — a needless, useless wonder. I'd get one, and if I noticed, I'd tap it to try to rid of it. At sleepovers when I was very young, friends would ask what they were. I had no idea, and told them so. This continued until I was about 10, at which point I decided (or was told) that erections were something to be hidden and covered up. Ironically, it was this decision/command that piqued my curiosity.
Severe thunderstorm warning
I first discovered masturbation, by accident, when I was 11 years old. I did not know anything about masturbation, orgasms, ejaculations, etc. But I can remember how good my first orgasm felt, and I also experienced my first ejaculation.
Irrigation canal
I grew up on a farm, and although I had seen animals having sex, I hadn't had "the talk" from my parents when I first learned about masturbation. I was about 11 and my brother 9 1/2 when we had the preacher's boys (our same ages) sleeping over one summer night in a makeshift tent. The conversation worked around to girls and sex. They asked if we knew about masturbation; we said, "What's that?" So they explained, and we tried it, with amazing results in a few minutes. Having no terms for any of this, I called the orgasm a "thrill" — which it was.
Enervated mass of ectoplasm
I am now 59 years old, so I have a few miles, so to speak, on some of the other members. I have always found masturbation to be more intensely pleasurable and physically satisfying than sex with another person. I have been married for 24 years, and sex with my wife is socially and personally satisfying, but it does not compare to masturbation in terms of shear physical pleasure. We have talked honestly about this so that she does not feel rejected when I masturbate.
Father-mother play
I have been masturbating regularly for the last 42 years, except for the one-year period immediately after my marriage.

I live in the Great White North — Canada. I started masturbating when I was 12; I remember it distinctly. I had a bad stomach ache, and my mom said it would help if I went to sleep with a pillow under my hips to sort of stretch out my stomach. I did so, but I wasn't feeling so good and wasn't about to fall asleep, so I put the pillow between my legs and tried to fall asleep on my side. I then started coughing, and my pelvis started to rock back and forth, rubbing my penis against the pillow. I got an erection very fast, and I liked it so I kept thrusting against the pillow.
Yearning in my loins
Me, my life, and my masturbation habits: This is the story of my life, or at least my life that started around the time I was 12 years old. Changes began to occur that would ultimately alter the way I would live for the rest of my days. Fantasizing, feelings about girls, and the yearning in my loins started to take complete control of my groin, and all the while during this change, I worried none. I realized I was starting to finally become a man.
A Good Boy
A year ago, if anyone had told me I would be writing my biography for a Web site dedicated to male masturbation, I would have laughed uncontrollably. By contemporary standards, my life has been remarkably tame; consequently, I couldn't believe anyone would be interested in what I have to say. In truth, I thought the same thing when I first replied to a JackinWorld Question of the Week (#183, about the ease of orgasm), only to find my response among the body of replies.
