Like many who've taken the time to join this amazing and awe-inspiring site, I have been a life-long masturbator. In fact, I cannot remember a time I haven't masturbated. Call it luck-of-the-draw, coincidence, or the best discovery of my life, but I found out how to pleasure myself before I can even remember my memories. For some reason I knew that it was best done in private, so I can't recall ever being scolded or diverted by my parents. I also don't remember them ever discussing it with me, which is just as well I suppose.

I thank JackinWorld for being an integral part of my masturbation life — there from the very beginning. I first masturbated to orgasm 6 years ago. As puberty was just starting, I found myself browsing the Internet searching for whatever information I could come across. At some site, somewhere, I found a link to JackinWorld. I was intrigued and diligently read the JackinHow-To section. I went downstairs to my room (by now everybody was asleep), stripped naked, and lay on my bed. I tried to follow the directions, pulling the skin on my penis back and forth.

I started noticing differences between boys and girls' bodies in nursery school. The boys and girls didn't have separate restrooms; I thought that girls had to urinate sitting down because their penises weren't fully developed like boys (of course we urinated standing).

I was never very conscious of erections, and at first, they were a pain — a needless, useless wonder. I'd get one, and if I noticed, I'd tap it to try to rid of it. At sleepovers when I was very young, friends would ask what they were. I had no idea, and told them so. This continued until I was about 10, at which point I decided (or was told) that erections were something to be hidden and covered up. Ironically, it was this decision/command that piqued my curiosity.

The first time I ever heard of masturbation, I was 13. I had been in a chat room and was dared to masturbate. I told everyone I was doing it, even though I didn't know what it was. A few minutes later I asked a 17-year-old guy who was also in the chat room; he told me what is was and how to do it. Later that night, at around 10 p.m., I went into the bathroom and tried it. I didn't understand the feelings it gave me, but I kept going until orgasm. No semen came out, and it felt painful to me. I promised myself I wouldn't try it again because of the discomfort.

From the days of early childhood, I can remember innocently humping pillows or playing with myself. I had no idea what I was doing, nor did I really care. All I knew was that it felt good. In kindergarten I can remember wrestling with the other kids and how good it felt when they would get on top of me and put pressure on my penis. At one point the neighbor kids and I would get together to show each other our penises. I am not really sure why we did it; it may have been simply because we knew we were not supposed to. I believe at age 10 I noticed my first semi-erection.

I began the process of discovering self-pleasuring in the summer before 7th grade at, of all places, a church retreat. A kid at the pool we went to was staying over by the jet where the water comes out, watching a girl. When I asked what he was doing, he said I was too young to understand (which confused me, because I thought I was older than he was), but he did say that it "felt good."

As of July of this year, I am no longer a teenager. I turned 20 and left my awkward, gangly years behind me. If only I knew then what I know now, growing up would have been so much easier.

I began masturbating when I was about 5 years old. Of course, I had no idea what I was doing or why I was doing it, other than it felt really good. Between the ages of 5 and 10, most of the masturbating I did resulted from climbing the poles and using the ring sets on the playground. Some of my favorite sensations still come from climbing poles — but alas, I no longer need to do that.
