I read the article on jelqing, and I recommend you go into further detail on how [potentially] dangerous the technique is to the penis. Sure, some people can probably jelq and have an [enlarged] penis that works perfectly, but from what I have read, some get serious, irreparable damage. I'm lucky because I seem to be healing up but when I tried this penis enlargement technique, I must have gone too hard – I lost all sensation on the right side of my penis, the left side of the shaft was swollen, and I had a tingle / ache on the right side. The urologist I visited (real embarrassing) checked me out but didn't seem to know much about what damage I did to my penis or if it was permanent. I guess most people don't tug at their penises, and those that do and get injured might be too embarrassed to go to a doctor. It was a pretty embarrassing part of my life, I must say.
Anyway, it's been a few days and I seem to be healing up. It feels like I have equal pleasure on both sides of my penis and the ache has faded away. The urologist told me to have no sexual activity for 4 to 6 weeks, which really sucks, and to top it off I think that includes masturbation. I think my balls will be dragging on the ground by then; I tend to get testicular pains if I don't release every few days. I think I didn't cause any permanent damage to my penis. I'm hoping everything will be fine.
I was lucky – this was maybe my 3rd time doing the jelqing technique. As mentioned in the link at the bottom of your article, where the 19-year-old jelqed for 3 months and now has all sorts of problems (hopefully not anymore), jelqing can permanently damage the penis even in the long term.
One thing the urologist said was that it is physically impossible to enlarge the penis. While that may not be exactly true, he has studied the penis more then I or any of the jelq experts have. Most jelqing systems call for 30 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week. My advice to people is to use this time and enlarge things that are possible to enlarge – actual muscles, and not breakable penis tissue and nerves. Pump some iron at the gym. It's rewarding and also a good way to lose weight. And chicks dig it.
Your article is pretty thorough, but these jelq sites make it look like it's 100% healthy, and there are even testimonials by people who have done it for a long time with large penises and no problems, but it's still not worth even a 1% risk of permanent damage. I hope I will fully recover from this; I seem to have good odds as long as I can keep my hands out of my pants and stay away from girls.
